It is with deep sadness that I inform the college community of the passing of Dr. Marion’s beautiful daughter, Theresa DiCesare. Theresa passed on July 22 at the age of 36 years.
Theresa was a 2004 graduate of the Fine Arts program at Hudson Valley Community College, where she was inducted into the Alpha Xi Sigma Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Theresa’s generous spirit soon guided her to the health care profession where she earned her BSN degree from Chamberlain University’s College of Nursing; she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was recognized as an HESI Highest Achiever. Theresa traveled to India to complete her Community Health Nursing clinical experience where she provided healthcare to many of the country’s impoverished people. Most recently, Theresa worked as a wound care nurse at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Illinois.
Theresa will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Calling hours will be Friday, July 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road in Latham.
